Vikes Nation is proud to present the THE kick-off festival of the school year at UVic in collaboration with the Office of Student Life and the UVSS! Join thousands of UVic students, staff & faculty for ThunderFest and see what Vikes Nation is all about!

Meet our UVic Vikes teams, make some new friends, learn about Vikes Recreation programming, listen to live music, officially join Vikes Nation...and have FUN with over 90 great booths with give-aways and lots of giant inflatables/games to play!

Be sure to fill out your official ThunderPass to be eligible to win one of our great prizes given away at the home-opener Vikes soccer games that evening at Centennial Stadium. Last year saw a record crowd of 3300 students at the soccer games and 5000+ at the afternoon festivities at the UVic Quad!

No registration needed to attend. If you are looking for a vendor spot, please email us at stuasponsor@uvic.ca.

Remember the day time event ends at 4:00PM, but the home-opener Vikes soccer games at Centennial Stadium starts shortly after.

Full schedule

12:00-4:00PM: activities, games, booth in the Quad
5:00pm: Vikes Women’s Soccer vs MacEwan at Centennial Stadium
7:15pm: Vikes Men’s Soccer vs UFV at Centennial Stadium

UVic students can get free tickets for the soccer games here.

Thunderfest soccer game student tickets are sold out!

Unfortunately due to capacity restrictions tickets will NOT be available at the gate. We kindly ask that if you do not have a ticket please don't show up for the games at Centennial Stadium.
