Jan. 23 - Registration for 2024 Vikes Summer Camps opens on April 4th at 6:30AM for sport development and recreation camps and April 8th at 6:30AM for climbing and outdoors camps.

Sport programs with a focus on high performance.

Our High Performance programs are designed to cultivate the skills and talents of young individuals. These programs offer training, expert coaching, and a supportive environment for participants to excel in their chosen sport. These programs are aimed at youth aged 13 through 18 years.

Vikes Women's Rugby and BC Grassroots Rugby Foundation are excited to partner together and bring you the Vancouver Island Rugby Academy - Summer Session. The academy will combine on-field rugby skills, functional movement skills, speed and conditioning to help local female* athletes prepare for the upcoming season, representative rugby and university rugby. All levels welcome!

Class level: All welcome.

Youth welcome: 13-19 years

Location: Wallace Field (Field 6)
Dates: February 7 – April 10
Program intervals: Runs for 10 weeks.

Vikes Recreation High Performance program - Men's Rugby Spring Break Camp

Men's Rugby Spring Break Camp

$175

The Vikes Men’s Rugby Spring Break Camp will be a great way to supplement your high school season and help you to prepare for Tide regional rugby in the Spring. This camp is held between 9:00 and 11:00 am. The camp will run for five days, the first four days centering around key themes that core to the Vikes Varsity Program. The camp will culminate with a competition day on Friday where we will put the skills you have picked up to the test.

Looking forward to seeing all the future Vikes on the field during Spring Break!

Vikes Recreation High Performance program - Vikes Long Term Athletic Development - Invasion / Speed Power Sports

Vikes Long Term Athletic Development - Invasion / Speed Power Sports

This training program is for healthy athletes between the ages of 13 and 18. Athletes will increase performance by developing competency of key movement and developing strength and power. Athletes competing in volleyball, basketball, hockey, football, rugby as well any other sport that requires high levels of athleticism would greatly benefit from this program.

*There are two offerings, one session which runs Monday & Thursday, and another which runs Tuesday & Friday. Please register accordingly!*

Vikes Recreation High Performance program - Vikes Nation Basketball - Boys Jamboree

Vikes Nation Basketball - Boys Jamboree

$120

In the spring of 2024 the University of Victoria Men’s Basketball program will offer club basketball programming running from the beginning of April to the end of July. The Jamboree will offer island basketball players an opportunity to receive instruction from the Vikes Men’s Basketball Coaching staff the weekend of March 15th.

The Jamboree week will include player development and evaluations towards the construction of competitive Vikes Nation club basketball teams at the U12, U13, U14, U15, U16, and U17 levels. The Jamboree week will bring together 3 concentrated days of basketball training offered to those island athletes 12-18 years of age. Grade 12s are welcome to try out for the U17 team, and younger players are welcome to try out for the U12 team.

The Vikes Nation club program has helped produce four current University of Victoria Men’s Basketball players. The program allows island players the opportunity to train regularly with top island players while getting the opportunity to compete against elite players and teams in Canada and the States. Don’t miss this great opportunity to take your game to the next level!
