Intramurals Registration

Register as a captain, team member or free agent for your favourite sports.

If you are ready to register, you can register here. If you are new or need help, please read below.

If you wish to play more than one day in a particular sport (i.e. volleyball, soccer, ball hockey) you must register for each activity separately. You can only be registered on one team in an activity on one particular day.

If you are not a current UVic student you will need to purchase the Intramural Community Access Membership to be eligible to register. The membership lasts for 2 semesters (September-April) and allows you to access the same pricing as students per sport.

Please note game locations are subject to change based on number of registered teams in each league.

Leagues remain open until they are full, or we enter the third week of play.

Register as a captain

  1. Go to vikesrec.ca/register
  2. Click on Intramurals 'whistle' symbol and click Register.
  3. Select the league the participant is interested in joining. The individual will need to sign in using their NetLink ID account to continue the registration process.
  4. Click the option Register as a Team.
  5. Input all the data required in the blanks. Please ensure the team name is appropriate. Depending on the league, the participant will need to select a team colour, options are available based on first come, first serve basis.
  6. Press Submit and the page will be redirected towards emergency contacts. The participant will need to have at least one emergency contact.
  7. Click Continue to the shopping cart page. Ensure the order is correct.
  8. Continue to the checkout page where payment is required to complete registration.

Register as a participant

  1. Go to vikesrec.ca/register
  2. Click on Intramurals 'whistle' icon and click Register
  3. Select league the participant is interested in joining. The individual will need to sign in using their NetLink ID account to continue the registration process.
  4. Click the option Join a Team. You will be redirected to a page showing the available teams to join. Select the team the participant is interested in joining / their captain has created.
  5. Once a request has been sent to join a team, the participant will need to wait until the captain accepts the request before they can further proceed with registration. The participant will need to add an emergency contact.
  6. An email will be sent to the participant once the request has been accepted. The email will contain a link redirecting them to a payment page.
  7. Once payment has been made, the registration process is completed.
Register as a participant

Register as a free agent

  1. Go to vikesrec.ca/register
  2. Click on Intramurals 'whistle' icon and click Register
  3. Select league the participant is interested in joining. The individual will need to sign in using their NetLink ID account to continue the registration process.
  4. Click the option Become a Free Agent. This will make participant available as a free agent and captains will be able to invite them to join their team.
  5. An email will be sent to the participant once a captain has invited the participant to join their team. The email will contain a link redirecting them to a payment page.
  6. Once payment has been made, the registration process is completed and the free agent will be officially rostered on the team.
