UVic faculty & staff fitness membership payroll deduction program

Fitness memberships made easy!

The Faculty and Staff Fitness Membership Payroll Deduction Program is designed to help facilitate an active and healthy lifestyle for UVic faculty and staff with a regular continuing appointment, providing a hassle-free membership purchase through payroll deduction.


To participate, eligible employees can sign up for a four-, eight- or twelve-month Vikes Fit or Vikes Fit Plus membership option.

How to get started

To apply for the fitness membership payroll deduction, employees must register in-person at CARSA Membership Services.

Participating members will pay the first installment at the time of purchase, prorated to the first payroll deduction date, which is the last pay period of each month. Remaining payments will then be applied through monthly payroll deduction.

Refund policy

Memberships are non-refundable. Consideration will be given to members providing signed medical certificates. In the event of employment status change during the term of a membership, the membership will be temporarily paused and Vikes Memberships will contact the member to provide options for paying the remaining balance. Payment is required within seven days of notification to ensure membership continuity. Membership will be cancelled if confirmation and payment is not received within seven days of notification.
