Vikes Cheer 2023-24 Tryouts Day 2

• DAY ONE: Tuesday Sept 12th 8:30-10:30PM at CARSA Performance Gym (check in starts at 8pm)
• DAY TWO: Thursday September 14th 8:30-10:30PM at CARSA Performance Gym

Tryout Fee: $15

Athletes must attend both Day 1 and Day 2 of tryouts. On Day 1 athletes will learn the materials (sideline cheer and/or band dance + stunts) required for the tryout on Day 2 as well as have a chance to warm up any tumbling. Athletes will also receive an information package on Day 1 that includes the season expectations and estimated associated costs for the year. On Day 2, athletes will tryout in small groups of 4-5 in front of coaches.

What to Wear/Bring:

• athletic shorts and t shirt (no spaghetti straps please). Vikes gear or blue, white, & black colors preferred.
• cheer shoes or clean, soft soled runners
• hair tied back off of face
• water bottle
• OneCard. All students must scan their UVic One Card and sign CARSA waiver upon entry to the Performance Gym.
• a positive attitude & your best self!

Please note:

• participants must attend both days to be eligible for the team
• participants must be UVic students will full time enrolment status (3+ courses)
• athletes who have been on the Vikes Cheer Team previously are not guaranteed a spot on the 2023-2024 Vikes Cheer Team
