Water Polo

The UVic Water Polo Club is an opportunity for players of all levels to keep fit and make new friends. We are co-ed club that welcomes everyone (we don't have try-outs for the team); whether you have played competitively your entire life or if you have never played. We hold three practices a week. Most practices begin with a swim-set, aimed to improve cardiovascular endurance. Followed by group drills and a scrimmage, explained by our team of experienced coaches. All equipment is provided.

In addition, we attend three to five tournaments annually. Tournaments are not mandatory, as there is an additional cost associated, which varies based on location. The team regularly competes at tournaments on Vancouver Island, as well as, in Vancouver and Seattle. The club also hosts various fun social events outside of the pool throughout the year. Our big idea is to get lots of people in the pool playing and enjoying the awesome sport of water polo.

To join the club, a $100.00 membership fee per semester can be paid online at www.vikesrec.ca/register directly through the front desk at the CARSA Membership Services desk.
