The University of Victoria Fencing Club has been in operation for over 30 years. Classes start with fencing history lessons, basic footwork, followed by bladework to learn basic offence and defense moves. After graduating from the Beginners Class, students can continue as intermediate to advanced level club fencers, by fencing opponents of various skill levels and receiving fighting lessons from several assistant coaches. All equipment is provided to students.
To join the club, a $50 membership fee per semester, or $100 membership fee for both semesters can be paid directly through the front desk at either the McKinnon gym, or the CARSA Membership Services desk.
The club is always looking for more executive members! If you are passionate about fencing, and would like to help out, please let us know!
