Dance Team

The UVic Dance Team is a collaborative team of dancers attending the University of Victoria in beautiful British Columbia. 

Team members meet several times per week to work on their performance, choreography, technique, and overall dance capabilities. They practice in various styles of dance including Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, and Acro. 

Throughout the year, the team performs on campus at Vikes Basketball Game Halftime Shows, along with at start of year Student Welcome events. Furthermore the team performs in the community at different fundraisers and events, along with at 2 yearly out of Victoria dance competitions, competing against other adult teams and universities such as Vancouver Island university!

Every September, auditions are held by the previously elected president and vice president to fill the remaining positions on the team.
