Our club is open to all skill levels—from beginners looking to improve fitness to seasoned cyclists training for competition. We offer regular group rides and structured training sessions focused on road, gravel, and cyclocross cycling. Our goal is to build a welcoming and fun community on two wheels, supporting each other as we ride, train, and race together. If you're curious about cycling or want to ride with others who share your passion, come join us!
Road & Gravel Rides:
Group rides generally leave Carsa although the meeting spot may vary, typically including short spins, tempo efforts, and long weekend rides. These vary in distance and pace, and we encourage new riders to gauge the level of the ride before joining or reach out to us directly—we’re happy to help match you with a ride that suits your experience and goals. Whether you're just starting out or looking for a challenging session, there's a ride for you.
Training & Racing:
The club hosts structured interval sessions and technique-focused rides throughout the semester. For those interested, we also support riders who want to race in local and regional road, gravel, or cyclocross events under the UVic banner.
Let us know if you’d like to just ride casually or push yourself in training—we’ve got space for everyone.
To join the club, a membership fee can be paid online at vikesrec.ca/register or through the front desk at the CARSA Membership Services desk.
