The UVic Artistic Swimming Club is for swimmers who are interested in representing UVic in the sport of artistic swimming (formally synchronized swimming) at Canadian Universities Artistic Swimming League (CUASL) competitions. Artistic swimming is a hybrid form of swimming, dance, and gymnastics consisting of swimmers (in solos, duets, trios, combos or teams) performing a routine of elaborate moves in the water, accompanied by music. This sport requires water skills, strength, endurance, flexibility, grace, artistry, precise timing and the desire to work with a team and have fun. There are teams available for those with national level experience and also for those who are brand new to the sport.
The club trains 2-3 times per week from September through March at the Commonwealth Pool to represent the University of Victoria at CUASL Western's and National's.

Interested in seeing our routines? Our club hosts an annual Water Show in the spring where you can check out the cool routines we've been working on all season.
Tryouts for our advanced team occur at the beginning of September. We also have a place for those who are brand new to artistic swimming; our novice team also trains September through February.
