Vikes Spring Break Camps
Vikes Spring Break Camps are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere for all participants. We are looking for passionate, responsible, and caring Inclusion Leaders to assist in creating an environment that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. The Inclusion Leader will help deliver a wide range of sport and recreation camps with a focus on supporting participants with varying abilities. We aim to offer high-quality, fun, and positive experiences for all campers.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Under the direction of the Camp Leaders and Administration Team.
- Support the Sr. Leaders in ensuring the safety and supervision of camp participants, including those with diverse needs, ages 5-13 years
- Assist in implementing daily schedules and activities, ensuring inclusivity for all campers
- Help lead a variety of inclusive games, sports, outdoor activities, theme activities, and pool activities
- Foster a supportive and positive camp atmosphere where all participants feel valued and included
- Provide individualized support to campers who may require additional assistance or accommodations
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude with staff, participants, and parents at all times
- Actively contribute to an inclusive environment by respecting and valuing diversity, and promoting participation from all campers
Qualifications
- Relevant experience working in camps, youth programs, or inclusive environments
- Valid Emergency First Aid & CPR C
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an engaged and inclusive team
- Strong commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and service excellence
- Successful applicants must complete a criminal record check before employment commences
This role is perfect for those who are passionate about creating positive experiences for every camper, regardless of ability or background.
Terms of Employment
- Wage: $23.94 per hour
- Hours of Work: Up to 40 hours per week for two weeks
Note: Hours are based on camp registration and operational needs. - Commitment to Work: Must be available to work during the Spring Break Camps, from March 17th to 21st and March 24th to 28th 2025. You may choose to work one or both weeks.
We also offer the opportunity to return for the same role in the summer of 2025 if the fit is right for both parties.
